A BRAND DESIGNED TO BE ARTFUL

AND AUTHENTIC.

BRAVE LAYERS / BOLD LIVING

TD Interiors partnered with Front & Center initially for a full brand revamp to include new branding, messaging, and website. The challenge was to create a brand that could sustain serious growth without losing the quintessential Taylor DeBartola voice, cheekiness and abundance of personality.

Following the launch and as our relationship evolved, we started working more behind-the-scenes on streamlining client onboarding, moving them to a fixed-fee model, supporting internal development and consulting on scaling the business to include new offerings (art consultations), a second hub in Atlanta, and launching an ecommerce store (coming soon).

THE VISION

The main goal of this project was a brand revamp and launch. Taylor and F&C Founder, Mary Beth, went to College of Charleston together, but he came back to her after a (strongly-worded) referral from friend/client, Emily Cox.

Initially, he was just in the market for a website update - it took some time and trust-falls to go all in on a brand revamp.

Two years later, the pair are thick as thieves and each other's’ first phone call on all things business.

TD Interiors partnered with Front & Center initially for a full brand revamp to include new branding, messaging, and website. We also referred him to the photographer he’s worked with on many of his new portfolio shoots, Alex Thornton.

Following the launch and as our relationship evolved, we now do more behind-the-scenes (coaching/consulting) on streamlining client onboarding, moving to a fixed-fee model, supporting internal development (bringing on new

team member full time) and consulting on scaling the business to include fresh offerings

(art consultations), a second hub in Atlanta, and launching an ecommerce store in 2021.

The greatest challenge was finding the balance of an elevated brand that could stand on its own and scale, but was still quintessentially Taylor - we needed to keep his personality/voice closely tied throughout.

THE EXECUTION

F&C has a signature discovery process that begins with our proprietary questionnaire coupled with client interviews and outside research. The questionnaire is designed to help the client take a deep breath, step back and look at their business from an outside perspective.

It hits the brass-tacks of the 4 W’s (who, what, where, why…), brand vibe, marketing plan, growth/scaling goals, sales strategy, desired clients, etc… while also creating space for

the feels,  inspiration, vision, hopes/dreams.

TD Interiors is brave, bold and unapologetic - attracting clients who are the same by nature.

Unapologetic was our big word for 2020. Unbreakable is our word for 2021. Interestingly, there are a lot of parallels between what Taylor does and what we do, so the challenge was two chiefs learning to blend their processes/approaches and learn to trust one another.

All positive and progressive, it just took time and patience on both sides but was well worth it in the end.

Ellie Platt did the branding and Alex Thornton did a lot of his newer portfolio shoots. Taylor knew he wanted Charlotte’s Locks orange after we painted Mary Beth's home office/F&C Headquarters that color.

Yes, Taylor is also Mary Beth's designer...lots of layers to this onion. We both just fell in love with the color and everything she stood for - strong, bold, deep and rich.

THE IMPACT

270+% increase and on track to blow those numbers out of the water in 2021.

After the initial brand revamp unveil, Taylor received glowing reviews and still basks in them to this day. Our favorites are the design partners/industry reps who regularly fawn over his website.

Last year, cue pandemic, TD Interiors took a major hit in Q1, but by the end of the year they had...wait for it...more than doubled its revenue compared to the year prior (270+%). Taylor attributes a lot of this to his elevated brand/digital presence and the work we did to create better bones for growth among his team.

Taylor prides himself on building relationships, investing in his partners and going for the long game with anyone in his circle. We are humbled and honored by being trusted with so many elements of his business - not just the outward facing brand and marketing, but also how the operation itself is structured and continues to evolve.

The nirvana is to meet the client where they are and grow with them as they enjoy success - TD Interiors is that story for Front & Center.
